 A tehcnology I learned from someone else (Bluetooth)

Bluetooth technology, a revolutionary wireless communication system that first came into prominence in 1994, it emerged as a game-changing innovation courtesy of the brilliant minds behind its inception, Dr. Jaap Haartsen and Sven Mattisson. The creation was significant because it created a new way for people to listen to things without having their phone directly. While the concept of Bluetooth technology was conceived in the mid-'90s, its widespread consumer adoption didn't take place until 1999 when the very first consumer Bluetooth device was introduced - a hands-free mobile headset.  History and workings of the U.S. Supreme Court

-  The supreme court is made up of nine justices who all have a key role in how the judiciary system works. Each and every one of the justices bring their own views and smarts to the court, which they then use during debates and discussions on legal matters that are going on at the time. After being voted in these justices have a job for life and are trusted to uphold the constitution and fight for everyone fairly. The supreme court is a huge part of the american society and their jobs shouldn't go unrecognized.

- The supreme court must go through a selection process to make sure their cases are worthwhile and not just over something that could be fixed with a compromise. During this process they take into ccount the significance, potential outcomes and the relevance before moving on. While the process can be very boring and tedious it is very important and involves a lot of startegy to find cases that align with their values, in hopes of bringing them to the most succesful and meaningful outcomes.

- Sandra Day O’Connor the first woman to serve on the Court, she served on the court from 1981 to 2006. She set the boundry for many other women to follow in her footsteps. This was a huge part of history because up until that point in 1981 the Supreme Court had been straight males. After her amazing feat their have been 5 women to follow after her and 4 of them are currently serving at this moment (Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Amy Coney Barrett, and Ketanji Brown Jackson). 

- The video changed the way I thought of the supreme court by giving me a deeper insight of the actual process that things go through and how there are different levels to everything. After watching the videos I had learned about the selection and the voting process.

 Eight Theories of Why Freedom is Important 

The Theory that resonates with me the most is the one that talks about stable change and giving people the right to vent when upset. This theory, known as the safety valve rationale, suggests that citizens should have the freedom to voice their opinions regarding contentious societal issues as a way to express their discontent with the government and its policies. By providing a platform for individuals to articulate their dissent peacefully, this principle aims to deter violent actions that could otherwise be used to draw attention to their grievances.

In an era where differing viewpoints can often spark tension and conflict, the safety valve rationale offers a constructive mechanism for individuals to engage in dialogue and debate without resorting to hostility or aggression. This resonates with me personally as I witness the importance of open communication and respectful discourse in being able to understand and cooperate with people who may have different beliefs than yourself. 

In many social settings, including online platforms and public areas, discussions about politics, policies, and other controversial topics are bound to happen. The ability for individuals to freely express their thoughts and feelings on these matters is crucial for maintaining a healthy exchange of ideas and perspectives. As someone who values the right to individual expression and believes in the power of dialogue to close gaps, I find the principles of the safety valve theory to be not only relevant but essential in promoting a harmonious and inclusive society.
